A Focus on Sustainability: Carbon Offsets Purchased on Behalf of ITAD Clients

As part of Ingram Micro Lifecycle’s ongoing efforts to recognize the importance of addressing the environmental impact of our operations, we are proud to announce we have purchased over 408 tonnes (450 tons) of carbon offsets on behalf clients utilizing our IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) services. The offsets aim to neutralize the carbon emissions generated from the logistics performed utilizing Ingram Micro trucks in 2022.

This action is another step towards our goal of reducing our carbon footprint and helping our clients achieve their sustainability goals. The carbon offsets are channeled into a diverse portfolio of projects that support sustainable initiatives including reforestation efforts, improved forest management practices, biochar utilization, mineralization processes, and engineered carbon removals. By supporting these programs, Ingram Micro contributes to the restoration and preservation of natural ecosystems while promoting sustainable practices worldwide.

Through our ITAD services, Ingram Micro offers efficient and secure management of end-of-life IT assets. By handling the responsible disposal or repurposing of electronic equipment, we ensure that electronic waste is minimized, hazardous materials are properly managed, and valuable resources are recovered. The inclusion of carbon offsets further enhances the environmental benefits of our ITAD services, making it a comprehensive solution for sustainable IT asset management.

Ingram Micro Lifecycle remains committed to continuously improving our sustainability practices, exploring innovative solutions, and addressing climate change. By leading by example, we aim to inspire others to adopt eco-friendly strategies and make a positive impact on the planet.
